Jerry Wilson

Jerry was a health technician in Poway, CA.

“The last time I saw him he gave me this great big bear hug that only he could do. And you know, sometimes you get a hug, and it’s a hug and a quick one. His was genuine. I could feel it and that will stay with me.”

Jerry always felt the kids and families at the middle school where he worked as a health tech were his second family. A loveable, teddy-bear of a guy, he was known to give students his lunch, provide them backpacks and Christmas gifts. Weeks before he passed away, he and his wife found out that they were going to become grandparents for the first time. Jerry was 63 and leaves behind a loving family and school community.
