Juan Segundo Sr.

Juan was a hospital cook in Oakland, CA.

“He would listen to worship music from the time he woke up to the time he went to sleep.”

Juan immigrated with his family to the Bay Area from Mexico in 1990 to give them a better life. He was a person of strong faith, reading every morning from his black leather-covered King James Bible. He took his role as a provider for his family very seriously, caring for other sick family members even during his COVID illness. His wife also died from COVID, leaving behind their two sons and a granddaughter. He was 56 years old.
